A statement from the Nigerian Alternative Energy Expo (NAEE) has disclosed that arrangements have now been concluded for Nigeria’s federal capital, Abuja to host the 8th edition of what is described as Nigeria’s largest single renewable energy conference – the NAEE, at the Shehu Yar’Adua Conference Centre.
Signed and sent to OGN, the statement quoted the Chairman of the Local and International Organising Committee of the conference, Dr. Emmanuel Onyejeose, to have said at the end of a training and empowerment workshop in Delta State that the 2018 edition of the event will be the largest and most comprehensive exhibition and conference scenario beginning with the prestigious Nigeria Energy Awards for Excellency.
Onyejeose, disclosed at the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Energy, Barrister Newworld Safugha, of the nomination of Delta State’s Ministry of Energy in recognition of its dedicated commitment to exploring all available energy resources within the emerging technological options.
According to him, the events are co-sponsored by over one hundred exhibitors including equipment manufacturers, installer, designers and specifiers from China, the US, Japan and the EU.
He noted that a large team of federal and state government delegates will be led by the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, with team members of energy non-ministerial departmental agencies.
“This year’s theme is tagged “Liberating Economic Drive with Clean Energy” with a logical select team of keynote speakers dedicated to enhancing research and development in on-and-off grid connections to sustainable green energy principles. The Sterling Bank Plc is debuting at this edition in providing facilities to developer,” said Onyejeose, in the statement.
The statement equally indicated that among national delegates for the conference would be Partnership Initiatives for Niger Delta; Chief Anita Okuribudo, President of CREN, Blue Camel Green Development Housing Complex; as well as Astevens Group and Nigeria-German Developers.
Foreign exhibitors and speakers include delegates from Germany and OA Demag. Ebonyi, Ondo and other states of Nigeria have confirmed their participation, the statement added.
